BOOM!!! If you answered “yes” to any of these, you have come to the right place!

We’ll coach you through our ever-changing workouts that will challenge & excite you. You’ll work hard and most likely, you will exceed your expectations….no matter who you are!

With the help of our members and our exceptional trainers, we were able to grow into a new space located on Snow Canyon Parkway.  This allowed us to add equipment and accommodate larger classes.   As our membership has grown, we have evolved in both size and concept.  While we still incorporate the mentally difficult and physically intense CrossFit style workouts into our routine, we have shifted focus with greater attention to mobility, nutrition, weight loss and higher skill movements in gymnastics and Olympic lifting.  This has helped us better serve athletes of all ability levels and ages, with current members ranging in age from 5 years old to over 70 and ranging in athletic ability from collegiate level athletes to those recovering from joint replacements or prolonged immobility.  While we embrace high level athletes in our gym, the most rewarding clients for us are those who have been able to cure their diabetes, get off high blood pressure or statin drugs or loose over ¾ of their body fat.  These are our best feel good moments as trainers!  Our community is diverse, inclusive and very supportive of all members regardless of where they are at athletically or what their goals are.  Come visit us and get a feel for our unique community of health!

You CAN get fitter… athlete, professor, fireman, parent, retired or busy; in shape, out of shape, super fit, bored with working out or can’t get enough exercise. Try something different!

If after your free intro session, you would like to continue your training at CrossFit St George, we will take you through a few foundation classes; we cover, in depth, the basic skills required to become proficient at CrossFit. This allows new trainees to get comfortable with the skills and exercises used in our CrossFit classes. All coaches are here to help you achieve “cape status” for any aspect of life.  Whether it be to help you prepare for an event, find a way to get motivated about health, Be able to run to all 4 bases with your kids with out asking for the AED….We want to help you achieve that “can do” attitude and body, so come play.  Everyone starts some where!

I am still not the strongest or the fastest or the most agile….But I am Stronger, and Faster!  What our coaches and community have created here is a place where we can all feel comfortable enough to take the steps towards reaching our goals.

“OMG! You want me to do what with that heavy freaking ball? “….Before all this “CrossFit Crazy” started I was completely happy with being 118 skinny fat, not being able to even come close to the 9ft line with the 8 LB Wall ball, but man I could move in a forward plane of motion slow as molassas for a Real Long time…I probably just would not have been any help had you needed me to carry anything!!

Then the mighty CrossFit Bug Bit!! And a new view on nutritional intake.

I am still not the strongest or the fastest or the most agile….But I am Stronger, and Faster, and way more useful on a farm with bails of hay….and can run away from my pursuing k9’s without them knocking me over quite as much… Oh, and that 8LB WallBall has nothing on me any more! Freak yah! Now if I could only……

I have spent the last Decade and a half working through my own health issues.  Throughout this process I have developed a burning desire to help all I come in contact with achieve Their best Health, and now it is your turn!

What we do here is safe. It’s fun. It will absolutely make you a better athlete. It might make you a better person.

When I found CrossFit in November 2011, I thought I was in pretty good shape. Working out to DVD’s at home, doing some distance running and well, being a mother of three.  Quickly did I realize I had a lot of weaknesses.

I remember trembling with fear and anxiety the first day I was to meet Ali to do my baseline. I almost quit that first month, thinking I was way out of my league and feeling like I would never get the movements or be able to lift the weight that the other women were lifting. Through a lot of support and encouragement from our CrossFit St. George community I have improved, gotten stronger, and have developed a tremendous passion for all things CrossFit. So much passion that I wanted to teach others all that I have learned and continue to learn.
I attained my level 1 trainer certificate in April 2013 and have been coaching at CFSG ever since.  I started teaching a summer camp for kids in 2014, then started a regular ongoing CFKids class after becoming a certified CFKids trainer in March 2016.  I feel extremely satisfied when I see these kiddos get excited about fitness and watch their confidence and self-esteem grow.  My goal is to continue to grow as a CrossFit athlete and competitor, and to gain experience, to become as good of a coach as the coaches that train me. I feel honored to be a part of the CFSG family and thankful everyday for my happy and healthy life.

Very well, where should I begin? My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low-grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen-year-old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet.

My father would womanize, he would drink, he would make outrageous claims, like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. A sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. My childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we’d make meat helmets. If I was insolent, I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds. Pretty standard, really. At the age of twelve I received my first scribe. At the age of fifteen, a Zoroastrian named Vilma ritualistically shaved my testicles. There really is nothing like a shaven scrotum. At the age of eighteen, I went off to evil medical school. From there…

After a whole lot of persuasion, a friend got me to try CrossFit in February of 2013. I had an athletic background to begin with, but I’d never really lifted weights in my life up until that time. When I started CrossFit, I wasn’t in ‘bad’ shape, but I was also in no where near as good…

…of shape that I’m in now. The very first WOD I remember was running 800m to warm up (which was a lot!), finding a max back squat, then doing 3 sets of a 500m row sprints. I’ve been hooked and haven’t taken more than 2 consecutive weeks off since that first workout!

I wanted to start coaching because I felt like I’d been around long enough to understand what was the right vs. wrong way of doing things and help give other people advice/tips on how to excel in the sport— and because I think it’s an awesome thing to witness how someone’s eyes light up when they realize what their body is capable of doing (which is a lot more than you think, I promise!).

I’m so grateful that I found CrossFit. I’ve made so many solid friendships and memories through doing it, gone on some awesome adventures because of it, and it’s the coolest thing in the world to watch your body transform into something strong, and something able. Who knows what I’d be doing instead— probably running on a treadmill somewhere, ha!

I don’t want people to think CrossFit is scary! I understand that it comes off as intimidating, but I truly believe it can be done by anybody at any fitness level. Heck, it took me quite a few months to finally start RXing workouts at the required weights/reps. Everyone has to start somewhere, you just have to choose to start!

There came the time as a mother ( and for myself) that I needed to lead by example in some areas where I struggled. I want my daughters to be confident in their own skin, to not not do something because they are fearful or anxious, and to be bold and confident in their beliefs.

I had some work to do!

I worked out at home for years but I could never reach my goals. I wasn’t comfortable in my own skin which lead to toxic thoughts about my self image.

Fear and anxiety made decisions for me. Why?….because I gave them control. So I, with the encouragement of my husband Jeremy, made the choice to do things because I was scared of doing them. Crossfit was one of those things. It took over a year of making myself go to the gym, despite feeling physically ill from anxiety, to over come my fear. I am in control of those emotions more now than ever before. Crossfit St George helped me reach these goals, replace my negative thoughts with confidence and contentment,  and I also found a diverse community of inspiring people. Over all, Crossfit has brought a more peaceful state of mind as well as playing an integral part in our family finding a healthy lifestyle in our diets and exercise.

I look forward to continuing on to new goals and setting an admirable example for my girls. Also not just leading by example as a mother but also as a trainer.

As a trainer its an honor to help others with their own personal struggles and goals to find and maintain their HEALTHY!
